DESCRIPTION

Agrocops Vermicopost (AV) are organic materials, produced by the activity of earthworms from a wide range of organic residues and therefore consists of compounds that promote seed germination.

AV is a good source of nutrients having a higher amount of nutrients as compared to Farm Yard Manure (FYM). It can be safely used in organic farming as a source of nutrients. Vermicompost is a rich source of all essential plant nutrients. Nutrient content of well-rotten vermicompost ranging from 1.2% to 2.5% nitrogen, 0.9% to 1.7% phosphorus and 1.5% to 2.5% potassium. Agrocops Vermicompost contains Sulphur, Calcium, magnesium and iron. It also contains micronutrients like manganese, Zinc, Copper, Boron and molybdenum. It provides excellent effect on overall plant growth, encourages the growth of new shoots/leaves, and improves the quality and shelf life of the produce. AV is free flowing, easy to apply, handle and store, and does not emit bad flavor. It improves soil structure, aeration, and water holding capacity and prevents soil erosion. It is also rich in beneficial micro flora such as a fixer, P-solubilize, cellulose decomposing micro-flora, etc. in addition to improved soil environment. AV contains earthworm, cocoons, and increases the population and activity of earthworm in the soil. AV is free from pathogens, toxic elements, weed seeds, etc. and also minimizes the incidence of pest and diseases and enhances the decomposition of organic matter in soil. It contains valuable vitamins, enzymes, and hormones like auxins, gibberellins, etc.

AV is one of the best fertilizers & soil conditioner that can be used for potted plants. It can be mixed with soil, cocopeat or even sand. Various combinations of ideal potting mixtures can be made by using vermicompost, depending on the type of plant used. Nutrients in vermicompost are slowly & steadily made available to plants which is an ideal situation for potting media.

Ideally, it is added in soil mixture during potting of a new plant. One part Garden soil, one part coco-peat & one part Vermicompost (1:1:1), all three are thoroughly mixed and added to the pot.

Apart from being part of the potting mixture, most potted plants should be given an extra dose of AV during their various growth stages. A handful of vermicompost can be added to a pot every 2-3 months. When this is superficially mixed with the upper surface of the soil, it is known as Top Dressing. It then ensures the healthy and fast growth of plants.

This is ideal for most of the ornamental, foliage or indoor flowering plants. It maintains the color, size & shape and overall appearance of foliage & branches of houseplants by providing a steady source of nutrients.

AV has revolutionized vegetable farming & kitchen gardening. In organic farming, it has shown the best results among all the other fertilizers. All kinds of fruiting, underground and leafy vegetables can be grown by using vermicompost as a primary fertilizer, whether grown in containers or on raised beds.
